Hectic week at the top; I had a dismal outcome, and I knew the BULLS would lose, but defending your lead at the top-spot makes you do silly things... and so this too seems to apply to the Bulls and Waratahs :)

Soeper Fortien: 1st spot; my 4-point lead is dwindling though, and this guy Jonny G is catching up! I didn't even bridge 50 points :( ... the Lions should have won - I was a laughing stock for picking them... until the game :) SO CLOSE!
Only recovered 4 points this week, as opposed to 3.5 being the lowest, and 6.23 being the average'ish (my head calculation).

VMware Conversion problems

I've recently started to use VMware Converter for work, and the first problem I've hit is that the process won't get past task 2 on the cold-cloning P2V.

Failed to intialize locator to WMI. Err code = -2147221164

I think what needs to be done is update the ISO with the latest drivers for this network card, which can be explained in the VMware Converter manual, page 42, which reads:

If you're like me, you have a hundred tabs open, and you can't always remember which tab is which for GTALK'ing purposes, and who really wants to navigate between tabs to respond etc. anyway? There's something called TalkGadget which revolutionises the way I do GTalk...


Okay, so most people aren't like me, and you have two tabs open, but still, it's a great way to do GTalk in Firefox (until IE offers "open in sidebar" this won't work with IE). What's more, it offers you the full functionality of the downloaded GOOGLETALK app - so you get VOIP, you get multiple tabs for chatting. Awesome! Couple this with PORTABLE FIREFOX and you've got a fully portable Google Talk client everywhere you go :)

What you do:

1. Bookmark this URL (right-click and choose BOOKMARK THIS LINK)
   
   http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client
   
   
2. Go to BOOKMARKS menu
3. Select the above bookmark
4. Right click --> PROPERTIES
5. Tick "Load this bookmark in the sidebar"
6. (you may need to rename the link if it is called "not logged in")
7. Now just load the bookmark and you're done!

It should end up something like this in your browser:
