Psychonauts for $2 (R15) on STEAM

If anyone is interested in a cheap thrill*, then head on over to STEAM to download Psychonauts for a drastically reduced price. With a metascore of 87/100, it's certainly a good purchase and no doubt worth the time to download!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/3830/ to the main page; if you have any doubts or reservations then be sure to check out the demo first, at http://store.steampowered.com/app/3840/

* I don't think I can justify the "ah what the heck, for R15 I'll buy it even if I don't play it" mindset, because right now Haiti can do with that R15 more than Double Fine can, so if you buy it with that attitude in mind, give Haiti R15 too!

About the game:

For years, the Psychonauts have deployed their psychically-armed operatives all over the world, but this time trouble is brewing in their own backyard. Someone is abducting students from the Psychonaut boot camp—a deranged scientist who only wants their brains. A powerful new cadet named Raz stands alone against the lunatic. He must develop and unleash an arsenal of paranormal powers, including telekinesis, pyrokinesis, clairvoyance, and his most powerful weapon of all—the ability to launch himself telepathically into someone's mind. Ultimately he must enter the mind of his worst enemy and destroy his dark plans at their source, while trying not to lose his sanity in the process.

We are back!

Hello world!

Just to say we're back home from our USA trip, and I'm ready to crack it with some more posts coming your way - can't believe I've been quiet all this time :)

FEDEX secret!

Wow. Warren Lansdell just showed me this neat little secret on the FEDEX logo.

Can anyone else see it?

Look carefully. Ingenious!! I doubt even the majority of FedEx employees actually know about this :)

PANDORA

Go to PANDORA Internet Radio if you haven't yet checked it out. This is a really great way to listen to music! Of course, I'm experiencing it from 20Mbps internet access, so it may not be quite as practical in South Africa ... but the concept is awesome, and it will give you exposure to a whole range of artists and songs that perhaps you may never otherwise get a chance to enjoy, but it will still comply with your personal music tastes... hopefully ;) CHECK IT OUT!

UPDATE: It appears that PANDORA won't work in RSA - there are ways around this, and I'll look into them and post updates here, unless anyone has any suggestions to post in the comment. Likewise, Kai, your suggestion doesn't work either. More reason to not enjoy technology in a 3rd world country :( (you'd think they would allow the 3rd worlds a hand-out since we are so technologically backward, the risks are lower here :))
